DESCRIPTION OF THE DPA BOX WITH GPS ANTENNA

• The DPA with GPS antenna regulates the rate of distribution in relation to the progress of the tillage tool (DPA system), on a continuous basis.
• This is a proportional advance flow system using a magnetic GPS antenna to be positioned outside the tractor cab.
• The DPA system with GPS antenna is equipped with a control light and a control box in the cab which takes over the functions of the DELIMBE seed drills. It is fitted with switches for memorizing speed and starting seeding at the end of the row.

The DPA with GPS antenna consists of :

• A control box with flow adjustment potentiometer,
• On/off switch to control dispensing,
• An on/off button to control the blower,
• A priming button to start the system without moving forward (e.g. for weighing),
• A memorized speed button, to save a setting (the desired speed).
• A magnetized GPS antenna to be mounted on the outside of the tractor cab. Cable length is 2.5 meters.
• Power supply harness included with the box: The box includes a 3-pin plug for power supply to the tractor with a 1.5-meter harness and a 7-pin plug for connection to the unit with a 7-meter harness.
• A limit switch, also known as the lift cut-off option, is included with the DPA GPS antenna box. This switch enables you to switch off the distribution at the end of the field and automatically switch it back on when you return the tool to the ground.

HOW TO USE DPA WITH GPS ANTENNA

• Position the GPS antenna outside the tractor cab. Be careful with this system: avoid areas with trees, mountains or white areas where the network is weak.
• It’s best to use the setting chart supplied with the unit to adjust the DPA.
• The limit switch supplied is positioned on the tractor hitch. The linkage must hit the switch for the system to work. The switch is plugged into a 3-pin socket on the side of the unit, in place of the plug socket.
• If you want a sensor DPA on your Kit T14, you can choose between :

1. The simple adjustment with a single potentiometer to operate the distribution of the 2 flutes at the same time, identical flow rate for each
2. Or double adjustment with two potentiometers to operate the distribution of the 2 flutes independently of each other, with different or identical flow rates for each, depending on your needs.

SETTING THE DPA BOX WITH GPS ANTENNA

Make the following calculation to obtain a setting in kg/hour:

Speed x Working width x Dose per hectare = Kilogram per hour.

The result obtained enables you to weigh in a minute to obtain grams/minute and check the correct dose setting. This weight must then be converted into kilograms/hour.

To do this, hold your finger on the priming button for one minute. The spline will then rotate to the desired setting.

If over- or under-dosing is detected during weighing, the potentiometer setting must be changed and weighing repeated.

Once a setting has been made on the in-cab potentiometer, turn on the on/off switches to start the blower and distribution. The tractor must be travelling at the set working speed for the DPA to receive speed information. When this working speed is reached, press the memorized speed button. The green LED starts flashing. When it stays on and stops flashing, this means that the DPA is working. The dose is therefore even, whatever the tractor’s forward speed.
