DESCRIPTION DPA SENSOR BOX
- The Sensor DPA makes it possible to regulate the flow of the distribution in relation to the advancement of the soil working tool (DPA system), continuously. At the end of the field, distribution stops automatically, progressively, as the tool is raised and the tool wheel no longer turns. If you wish to stop distribution directly, you can add an optional lift cut-off switch to be positioned on the lift.
- It is a flow control system proportional to mechanical advance, using a sensor positioned on a rotating part of the tool (roller, disc, wheel, etc.).
- The DPA sensor system is equipped with a control light and a control box in the tractor cab which takes over the functions of the DELIMBE seeder. It is equipped with switches for memorizing speed and starting seeding at the end of the row/field.
The DPA CAPTEUR includes :
- A control box with flow adjustment potentiometer,
- An on/off switch to control distribution,
- An on/off switch to control the blower/fan,
- A priming switch to operate the system without moving forward(for example, to do your weighing),
- A memorized speed switch, to save a setting (the wished speed).
- A sensor to attach to a rotating element. The cable is 8 metres long.
- Connection cable included. The box includes a 3-pin plug for connection to the tractor, with a 1.5-meter cable, and a 7-pin socket for connection to the machine, with a 7-meter cable.
ADVICE FOR USING THE DPA SENSOR
- Place the sensor with a metal object at the end of the roller, the wheel of a tool or tractor, the back of a disc, etc. (a rotating element). It must be in a static position. A rotating metal object, such as a bolt, should be positioned between 5mm and 10mm from the sensor. The diameter of the wheel is not necessary for calculating the flow rate, as the DPA works on the basis of rotation frequency.
- It's best to use the adjustment table supplied with the machine to set the DPA.
- If you want a sensor DPA on your Kit T14, you can choose between :
- A single setting with a single potentiometer to operate the distribution of the 2 rotors at the same time, with the same flow rate for each.
- Or double adjustment with two potentiometers to operate the distribution of the 2 rotors independently of each other, with different or identical flow rates for each, depending on your needs.
ADJUSTMENT OF THE DPA SENSOR BOX
Make the following calculation to obtain a setting in kg/hour:
Speed x Working width x Dose per hectare = Kilograms per hour.
The result obtained will enable you to weigh the machine in one minute to obtain grams/minute and check the correct dose setting. This weight must then be converted into kilograms/hour.
To do this, keep your finger on the priming ("amorcage") switch for one minute. The rotor will then rotate to the desired setting.
If over- or under-dosing is detected during weighing, the potentiometer setting must be changed, and weighing repeated.
Once a setting has been made on the potentiometer, turn on the on/off switches to start the blower and distribution. The tractor must be moving at the set working speed for the DPA to receive speed information. When this working speed is obtained, press the memorized speed switch just one time. The green LED starts flashing. When it lights up and stops flashing, this means that the DPA is working. The dose is even, whatever the tractor's forward speed.
