Description

– DELIMBE T18 SEEDER AND MICROGRANULATOR FOR GREEN MANURE –

The T18 is a seed drill for plant cover crops, green manures, Cipan and intermediate crops. It is suitable for a wide range of seeds (insecticide micro-granules, starter fertilizers, weed-killing granules, cereals, small and large seeds). The distributor is equipped with a blower and electric distribution system with downpipes. It’s a polyvalent seeder for use with all types of soil-working equipment (harrows, cultivators, combine cutters, etc.).

DESCRIPTION OF THE T18 SEED DRILL

The T18 seeder and microgranulator is equipped with a blower driven by a 12-volt electric motor. Distribution is also driven by a 12-volt electric motor at 50 rpm. (For a hydraulic blower, see T18 hydraulic).
Electric distribution is provided by a rotor, with pneumatic transfer of the seeds to the spreader plate. Available with 1 to 12 outlets.
An electric gear motor drives the rotor for seed distribution. The speed of rotation of the rotor is adjusted to regulate the flow rate (from 5 to 350 kg/hour). Flow rate adjustment via electrical control box in the cab (optional).
The air flow transfers the seed into the corrugated hoses with an internal diameter of 30 mm.
Spreaders plates can be used at the hose outlet to disperse the seeds more effectively.
The working width of each spreaders plates is 50 cm to 1 metre depending on the height of the arrangement: they must be installed so that the seed projections cross each other.
The standard control box has a 1.5 m cable with a 3-pin plug for the power supply and a 4.5 m cable for the 7-pin plug connected to the distributor.
The DPA control box has a 1.5 m cable with a 3-pin plug for the power supply and a 6 m cable for the 7-pin plug connected to the distributor.
Supplied with a green small-flow equipment roller (this can be changed when ordering).
The T18 agricultural seed drill is available in two other versions:

The T18 DOUBLE with double distribution.
The T18 HYDRAULIC with hydraulic wind tunnel, not electric.

T18 MICROGRANULATOR OPTIONS

Control boxes: we offer several choices between standard and different systems DPAE (Flow Proportional to Electronic Advance) systems.

A standard control box with three switches: The first switch starts the blower. A second switch with an indicator light starts and stops distribution at the end of the field. And the last is a dial switch with a scale from 0 to 30 for flow rate, adjustable directly from the cab.
A DPA with sensor to be positioned either on a wheel, on the end of a roller or on the back of a disc.
A DPA with ISO connector, taking information from the tractor via the 7-pin plug.
And a DPA with a GPS antenna that is positioned outside the cab (supplied with a lift cut-off option).

There are 4 types of rollers: White (very low flow), Green (low flow), Yellow (medium flow) and Red (high flow).
25 metre hose reel, diameter 30 mm.
Spreaders plates, to disperse the seeds at the end of the hose.
Spreader plate supports to attach the spreaders plates.
Spreader support fixing bar for 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 metre cultivators.
A mounting base that adapts to the T18 chassis for easy attachment to the work tool.

It is possible to mount a slow distribution motor (15 rpm), used for low flow rates.

USE & TIPS FOR THE T18 SEEDER

On a harrow: The seeder allows grassland to be regenerated in spring. The Delimbe T18 pneumatic seed drill with blower can be mounted on a harrow, cultivator, combine harvester cutter or any other soil cultivation tool.
On a cultivator: The seeds must be broadcast before the roller so that the soil thrown up by the roller covers the seeds.
On a combine harvester: The small seeds are sown under the combine harvester and are covered by the falling chopped straw.
On a hoe: The T18 sows small seeds or ryegrass between rows of crops such as maize.
For vineyards and market gardening: The microgranulator and cover crop seeder is also specialized for vineyards and market gardening. For this purpose, you need to order the special vineyard and market gardening splitters in the “spare parts” section. Placed on the soil cultivation tool, the T18 can be used to sow a strip of grass between the rows of vines.
For fruit trees: The T18 small and large seed drill sows a grassy strip between the trees.
Safety : It is essential to provide a loading platform.
The pipe support plate can be removed to change the number of outlets. The pipe supports are interchangeable. We do not recommend blocking the outlets as this may damage the T18 fertiliser spreader and impair its proper functioning.
We recommend this pneumatic spreader for soil tools up to 6 metres. This machine is available with 1 to 12 outlets. For a larger hopper capacity or a working width greater than 6 metres, use the T20 (STANDARD/FRONT TANK) or T20 1700 LITRES FRONT TANK.
